Possibly. Malling Health, as the new contract holder, will work with the current provider to ensure a smooth transfer of services and staff. Some staff may decide not to be employed by the new provider. This decision will be for individuals to make based on their individual circumstances. Malling Health is committed to providing high quality services and ensuring continuity of care for patients and will seek to minimise any disruption for patients.
No, you do not need to do anything. Your GP registration and health records will be moved securely to Malling Health as part of the transfer of services. There are NHS safeguards in relation to patient confidentiality of information, and these will continue to remain in place throughout the transition.
If, for any reason, you want to change your GP practice, you will need to register as a new patient. You can find GP practices near you on the www.nhs.uk website. You will need to contact the GP practice you wish to be registered at directly.
If there are any other changes to how you contact your GP practice, for example telephone number changes, your GP practice will tell you this and updated information will be available on the practice website.
There should be no changes to how you order and receive your prescriptions from your GP practice, but if you use online services you might need to use your new registration details which will be sent to you by the practice.
Does my GP practice have a Patient Participation Group? (to be tailored as appropriate by you)
Your GP practice will continue to host a Patient Participation Group (PPG). If you would like to join your practice PPG then please contact the Practice Manager at your GP practice.
The practice website will be kept up to date with information.
