The nurse is available to teach breast awareness. All eligible women aged 50-64 will automatically be invited to attend a mammogram (breast x-ray) every three years by the NHS Screening Services.
Cervical smears are carried out by appointment with a practice nurse. Reminder letters are sent by the Cervical Screening Services to patients who are due to have a smear .

Development checks for pre-school children are performed at regular intervals in association with the health visitor.
The Practice Nurse performs immunisation of pre-school children. We strongly recommend that all children should be immunised.
Home Help and Meals on Wheels and other services are available from the Social Services team.

Everyone should have a diphtheria/tetanus and polio booster at age 15 and then a further tetanus vaccination depending on medical advice.
A range of family planning services (including emergency contraception) is available from the doctor or nurse. Some contraception methods may require a referral.

We offer health checks for all patients and give advice regarding blood pressure, weight, and lifestyle including smoking, alcohol intake and exercise.
Daytime: 8.00am-6.00pm.
